One of the best ways to cope with vulvodynia is to realize that others know what you're going through and are going through it themselves. Up to 15% of women are affected by vulvar pain over the course of their lives. And, although each may experience her pain somewhat differently, our reactions to this pain are rather universal. Knowing this and having your feelings validated are critical to healing. So, share your story and know that:
You are not alone! We get it. And, how you feel makes complete sense.
Now, come share your stories--the good, the bad and the ugly, so that others understand your pain and their own pain through your story. Share a bit about how your pain feels, the journey you traveled to your diagnosis, the treatment(s) and doctor(s) you've seen and your outcomes, and where you are now including what keeps you hopeful. Please shoot an email to [email protected] with your story and/or come to an upcoming meeting.
